IC Environment Protection and Anti-Corruption Foundation
Our mission for the environment is built around a single, deliberately ambitious commitment: to help plant two million trees, and to unite people in making the environment pollution free.
A large number is not the point in itself. The point is that the problem is large. Every summer, fire and felling remove trees faster than goodwill replaces them. A target that only matches the losses is not a mission — it is maintenance.
What makes the target achievable is that it does not depend on any one organisation. It depends on arithmetic. If each person with a small patch of ground plants and tends a single sapling, the totals arrive on their own. This is why our drives bring in schoolchildren, sportspersons, forest staff and local volunteers rather than relying on our own team alone.
Your small donation helps us raise saplings, run drives, and follow up on the plants afterwards — because a sapling that nobody waters is a photograph, not a tree. Join us, and let us make the environment pollution free together.
Don't harm the environment for personal gain. Report the damage — with evidence — and the foundation will pursue it through the proper legal channels.
A journey to Anni in June 2024 that turned into a rescue, a confrontation with a forest fire, and a lesson in not waiting to be asked.
President Ishwar Chander writes from the forests of Himachal as temperatures cross 50°C, with a plain appeal: plant trees, and stop treating the forest as someone else's property.
