The purpose of this press conference was to awaken and inspire everyone to take responsibility for protecting our forests and our environment. Every summer the same story repeats itself: fire moves through the hills, lakhs of trees are lost, and countless animals die. And every summer, the public waits for the government to arrive with an answer.
We emphasised the importance of not harming nature, and encouraged proactive measures to prevent forest fires rather than reacting once the damage is already done. A tree takes fifteen to twenty years to grow. A fire takes minutes to erase it.
With government support, the IC EPAC Foundation is committed to taking swift legal action against those who endanger our natural surroundings. Where we find deliberate damage, we pursue it through the proper legal channels.
Our appeal is simple. If an orchard catches fire, we put it out at midnight without being asked. The forest deserves the same urgency. It belongs to all of us, and protecting it cannot be left to the administration alone.
On 5 June 2025 our volunteers, students and forest staff planted together — turning a day of speeches into a day of saplings.
A press conference addressing the environmental damage caused by human selfishness — and a call to give back to nature rather than only taking from it.
The foundation's press conference was carried by Khabrain Abhi Tak Himachal Pradesh, taking the President's appeal to a statewide audience.
